There is water in the wilderness
Because of God’s faithfulness
When we sin in stubborn willfulness
Confession brings about His forgiveness
When we’re battered and in brokenness
God guides us in His thoughtfulness
Through all our tears and fearfulness
God always comes around in all His solemness
God alone removes all sadness and loneliness
And covers us with His goodness and godliness
For only God can change our bitterness
And heal us with His wholesomeness
He keeps us from all wickedness
And knocks out all our waywardness
God clothes us with His garments of righteousness
Causing us to live in fruitfulness
He shatters every bondage and blindness
And crowns us with His loving kindness
He repels all rudeness and refines all our crudeness
Undergirding us with gentleness and promising us His peacefulness
For there’s water in the wilderness
Because of God’s great faithfulness!
