God you remove my every fear
Wipe away all sorrow and every tear
You call me friend and are to me so very dear
And unto you I draw near!
All that the enemy does is to at me sneer
But I can boldly stand with Jesus as my seer
For with Him I can always steer
When He makes for me all things calm and clear
Even as I with Him step into the New Year!
